Inferno

Way back in 2013, Ryan and I backpacked through Europe! While we were in Florence, Italy, Dan Brown's new book - Inferno - came out. Now how cool is it that... a book based in Florence, Italy… written by one of our favorite authors... came out while we were in Florence?! Too good to be true! We both bought a copy and read it during our many train journeys and down time!

Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon awakens in an Italian hospital, disoriented and with no recollection of the past thirty-six hours, including the origin of the macabre object hidden in his belongings. With a relentless female assassin trailing them through Florence, he and his resourceful doctor, Sienna Brooks, are forced to flee. Embarking on a harrowing journey, they must unravel a series of codes, which are the work of a brilliant scientist whose obsession with the end of the world is matched only by his passion for one of the most influential masterpieces ever written, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno.

Ryan and I both loved this book - exciting, adventurous, suspenseful and smart! It was especially special having read it as we got to experience the main characters journey through Florence as we did!

Here are some of our pictures from Florence, Italy! Some places will look familiar if you have read the book!

So this past week I re-read Inferno because the movie is coming out! Tom Hanks is reprising his role as Robert Langdon and I am excited to see the movie adaptation! They did a decent job with The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons so I am hopeful they will do Inferno justice!

I'll keep you posted on the movie when I get around to seeing it! If you have not read the book I 100% recommend it. You do not need to read any other Dan Brown books to enjoy it (they are not sequels of one another).
