Going out with a bang... and a Wedding!

It's officially moving week!
And for our last weekend?
We attended a classic Baton Rouge wedding!!

The ceremony and reception were held at the Louisiana State Museum and it was the coolest venue!! It was both indoor and outdoor and we were actually able to roam the museum (which was awesome)!

Just look at that awesome view of the Capital building!!

The entire morning we had the craziest bad weather ... thunder, lightning, hail and awful rain! Then the hour before the wedding - the sun came out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky!

Loved all of their music choices!!

My fiance was in the same fraternity as the groom and there were a decent amount of their fraternity brothers at the wedding. Back in college at the fraternity formals they had this tradition of bringing out white roses to their dates and singing "You Lost That Loving Feeling" by the Righteous Brothers as a group.

Since college, it has been a tradition for the fraternity brothers in attendance at a fellow brother's wedding to since the song to bride! It is always one of my favorite parts!

I loved how classic Baton Rouge the wedding was! A perfect way to spend our last weekend in the city we have called home for the last few years!

The rest of this week is solely dedicated to packing up our apartment!
This means the next two weeks blogging might be spotty since I am not sure what our wireless situation is going to be.

Wish us luck!

  1. Such a beautiful place for a wedding! The song tradition is really neat.
