For 90% of all the holiday parties I go to I bring Chocolate Bark!
There are a couple reasons I love this recipe:
1. It's super yummy
There are a couple reasons I love this recipe:
1. It's super yummy
2. It's fast to make
3. You can make many different variations of it!
What you need:
Unsalted Saltines
2/3 cups sugar
1.5 Sticks of butter
1 large full bag of chocolate chips (or two half bags if you want to switch the flavor up)
For this one pictured I did 1/2 butterscotch and 1/2 milk chocolate
Line a cookie sheet with foil and then line up the saltines on top
Take the 2/3 cups sugar and butter and bring to a boil
When you get to the boiling point - only let it boil for one minute!
Pour the boiling mixture all over the saltines
Stick them in the oven and bake for 5 minutes at 350 degrees
When they come out of the oven, it is ok if they shift a little! Just line the back up with a knife or toothpick!
Pour the chocolate chips on top and let sit for 10 minutes
After the 10 minutes are up the chocolate will start to melt. Use a butter knife to spread the chocolate and mix the chips all together
When it is all spread and melted - stick in the refrigerator for 2 hours
When it is all hard - peel off the bark from the foil and break up in to bite size pieces!
Enjoy!!
YES, this recipe is SO GOOD! :)
