Wedding Tasting
On Sunday Ryan and I went to our wedding venue for our tasting!
All the couples who were getting married at our reception location in 2018 were invited and it was packed! There easily had to be 150 people there!
We decided to start with cake... because why not!? Just trying to switch things up!
This is the style cake we are going to do with a wood tree cake stand (which matches our rustic theme).
These are the two winners! We are going to go half and half!
Chocolate Double Fudge & Almond Raspberry
The Almond one was our #1 favorite and will be the cake we cut and save for our anniversary! The other one will be in the back room but still served to our guests!
From there we conquered the entree!
There were soooo many options! The venue had a plate made of each dish so you could see what they would look like and then smaller portions for all the couples to try out!
(Get ready for a lot of food pictures)
So what did we pick?!
Well we are still under debate!
We are going to do a Chicken and a Fish but have not narrowed it down completely yet!
And to finish the evening we tested out the hor d'oeuvres!
Again... there were sooo many and we definitely didn't get to try them all!
We are going to do bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes and BBQ pulled pork cornbread sliders!
YUM

After we finished eating way too much we got to check out the different linen options, candle votives and decor!
If you follow me on instagram (@nikoleconnor) you may have seen yesterday this picture of the fireplace mantle that we get to decorate! I am taking suggestions if you have any!
Something about the tasting made the wedding feel so close and so REAL!
We are really starting to get excited! 5 1/2 months to go!
Looks so yummy!! Can't wait! ❤️
