Rockport, MA
My main goal for this past weekend was to somehow get to the beach. The beach is my happy place and Ryan loves it too so it didn't take much convincing! We wanted to go somewhere new and make a day of it and after a little research we decided to day-trip up to Rockport, MA!
We started our day walking around Bearskin Neck which is a little wharf full of cute nautical shops and little restaurants.
The cutest little ice cream shop!
And some sassy lifeguard signs!
The water was sooo clear! I just love this picture!
After some shopping and some clam chowder we drove a short ten minutes to Halibut State Park. It has this large fresh water quarry right on the ocean and has a bunch of awesome trails all around it and down to the coast.
We followed one of the trails down to the rocks on the coast and hung out for a while watching some massive waves and one brave surfer!
See that big rick pile in the above picture? This is the view from the top!
We ended our Rockport adventure at Roy Moore's Fish Shack for some local seafood and had the prettiest view!
We are getting married the beginning of May next year so we kept joking this was our negative 1 year anniversary trip! lol!
I would totally recommend Rockport to anyone looking for an awesome beachy town to explore! The beaches are not the best for swimming but if you are looking for a town to explore this one was adorable! We will totally go back someday!
