Willow's Fancy Christmas Plans

Today we fly up to Massachusetts to start our Christmas & New Years vacation! 

But what about Willow you may wonder!? 

Unfortunately we cannot fly him home with us so we had to come up with a plan for him here in Louisiana. On past Christmas vacations we lived in a different part of Louisiana where we had friends who would bunny sit for us. They were the best and we miss them dearly! Here in Baton Rouge, I had to come up with a new plan. Then I stumbled upon Magic Happens Bunny Rescue! 

 

Magic Happens is a network of volunteers centered in Baton Rouge, LA, and serves LA, MS, and occasionally other states. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, our mission is to rescue & find loving homes for rabbits that are at animal control facilities, abandoned or turned loose, or are unwanted by their owners. We also work hard to educate and serve our community through presentations and educational booths at events so that rabbits & owners will have a happier & healthier life together. 

They also provide bunny boarding where they set you up with a foster family who will watch the bunny while you are gone.

This is amazing for a couple reasons: 

1. It is only 7$ a night and the money goes to the rescue as a donation!

2. The bunnies stay with previous bunny owners who understand the process and are comfortable  taking care of bunnies! 

3. Willow will get all sorts of attention and love while we are away! 

Over the weekend we went to meet the bunny sitters that we got paired up with... and Willow is one lucky bunny! They have a garden full of fresh herbs, a two story mega mansion cage, an outdoor play pen and an entire family that is super excited for him to come stay for a week! He may not want to come back with us after his luxurious vacation! 

Oh how we will miss him and his silly bunny ways!
