Choosing Our Wedding Registries
On Saturday - Ryan and I completed our wedding registries! After a lot of thought we decided to make Crate and Barrel our primary registry and Bed Bath & Beyond our secondary registry. This decision was based mostly on our style and entertaining tastes. We both walked into Crate & Barrel and after walking around for a couple minutes we looked at each other and knew that was the place for us!
Ryan and I have been living together now for over 4 years so we figured that our registries would end up being pretty small... but we also realized that we are at a point where our Ikea cups break in the dishwasher and our towels from college are not the nicest things in the world... haha!
Here are some of our favorites finds:
These towels are soooo soft!! We decided to register for two sets, one in spa blue and one in grey.
Things we are still debating about:
- China. This seems to be a heated topic when we talk to couples. On one hand, it would be nice to have china for holidays and special occasions but on the other hand China is SOO expensive and I can't imagine asking anyone to buy even one set of China. We found a set that we love and put on the registry but we may end up removing it if we decide we do not want to have it on there. TBD.
-Knives. Knives are another thing that are so expensive and honestly we don't know what brand is better than the others. We have Wusthof and Zwilling knives on our registries right now but we do not know which ones to go with! Any opinions out there?
-Kitchen Aid Mixer vs Handheld Mixer. We had a Kitchen Aid Mixer growing up and I have fond memories baking with my mom using it. I can definitely see the perks of having one with kids, being hands free and I'm sure it contains the mess a little better. It is just another thing that is really expensive compared to the alternative hand-held one.
So that is where we are at! Couple things still under debate, but for the most part we are really happy with our registry and our experience registry shopping!
Ryan was a champ through the entire process! LOL
