Hawaiian Honeymoon - Maui Part 3

This week I am recapping our first half of our honeymoon on Maui (Hawaii)! Check out Part 1 and Part 2 here:

The first half our week on Maui we stayed in Kihea, the second half of the time we stayed a little north of Kaanapali. We stayed in an AirBnB here too is this was hands down my favorite spots we stayed the entire honeymoon. Our bed looked out to the ocean and we stayed right on a beach where sea turtles would relax and hang out at night (you'll see what I mean later in this post)!

Talk about a view!!

This was my view from the bed!! We slept every night with the sliding door open and listed to the sounds of the waves. So peaceful!

After we settled into our new spot, we explored some of the northern attractions of Maui. This included a stop to snorkel at Honolua Bay and explore the Nakalele Blowhole!

We swam pretty far out at Honolua Bay and were rewarded with some gorgeous snorkeling. We saw a 3 legged sea turtle who hung out with us and was huge! It was a private viewing since there really were no other people around. The turtle just let us swim alongside him which was both magical amazing!

We got a little rained out at the blowhole (you cant really tell in the pictures but we were soaked)!

(Photos of the blowhole do not do it justice)

We went back to our AirBnB to watch the sunset. We took one more dip in the ocean at the beach at our condo and this big ole turtle came right up on shore and hung out with us!

I love this picture of Ryan swimming in the ocean right near where the turtle was hanging out!

We went back to our room to watch the rest of the sunset from our balcony! How was this even real life!?

We wrapped up day 4 with dinner at the Maui Brewing Company!

Day 5 was a perfect morning for some beach lounging. We wanted to check out the beaches at Ka'anapali and we scored with finding a parking spot right on the beach! We learned that every hotel is required to have at least 10 parking spots for public use. These are obviously really hard spots to snag and we got lucky at the Sheraton and got one!

This beach has a popular rick where people will cliff jump. We didn't go out there but we enjoyed watching everyone jump from the cliff!

After absorbing as much Vitamin D (and Sea) that we could, we went back to the AirBnB and got ready for dinner.

We timed all of our water-front dinner reservations to be around sunset!

Our big event of the evening was attending the Warren and Annabelle magic show. Our friend was stationed in Maui with the military for a while and both him and his wife highly recommended the show as a must-do when on Maui. And guys... it was SO GOOD. They found out we were on our honeymoon and asked us to sit in the front and be an active participant in the show! Warren, the magician, was hilarious and was a seriously impressive magician. I was sitting only 2 feet away from him and the magic he performed blew my mind. He picked on Ryan throughout the show which was so fun and Ryan was a good sport about it. We both really enjoyed being in the show and put this as one of the top 10 things we did on our honeymoon!

If you go - make reservations as soon as you can! He books out months in advance! Also make sure to go early for cocktail hour so the local ghost, Annabelle can entertain you before the show (don't worry not scary haha) !

Tomorrow is dedicated to the Road to Hana! So many waterfalls!!
