Let's Talk Games!

Thursday means Game Night with our group of friends so I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite games!!

1. Settlers of Catan - We are HUGE Catan fans! This game is like a combination of Monopoly and Risk. You get resources, build settlements and cities and try to take over the land! The normal board game is designed for 2-4 players but there are expansion packs you can purchase for more people! One normal game for 4 people usually lasts about an hour.

2. One Night Ultimate Werewolf - In short… it's like the iPhone friendly version of Mafia. The beginning of the game starts with everyone being given an "identity" on a card which is kept secret. Then the "night" happens where everyone closes their eyes. Depending on your identity, you are given special directions of what you can do over the course of the night. You are either on team villager or team werewolf. The goal of the game is to "kill" a member from the werewolf team (and in reverse, if you are a werewolf you want to wrongly accuse someone so that the villagers kill one of their own). Since no one knows who is who, thats where the fun (and lies) begin! This game is best played with larger groups and each round is ~5min so you can play it many times in many different ways!

3. Cards Against Humanity - Aka the dirty version of Apples to Apples. Don't play with your kids or parents! Play with friends to find out who the dirty-minded ones are!

4. Scrabble - We love the classics! And so does Willow (see below)! Scrabble is my boyfriend and my favorite go-to lazy night game. I like to play without points sometime just to see what crazy words we can come up with but my boyfriend loves to be competitive so he loves to play with points! Willow just likes to hop on the board and mess up the game!

Apparently my game doesn't always start off well!! Does anyone know any words that only consist of vowels!?

5. Monopoly - National Parks Edition!!! Same game just a collectable version! Everytime we play we check off which national parks we have been to!

6. Card Games - We love all sorts of card games but recently we have been trying to learn Pitch. I think I have figured the game play… still just have to figure out how the points work! We are also big Gin fans which we have played multiple different ways!

We are always trying out new and random games! We are game lovers and so happy we found friends who feel the same about them too! If you have any games you love to play or recommend please share in the comments!!
