A Pitch Perfect Wild Trainwreck
Happy Wednesday! What a crazy week it has been so far!!
Last week I had a wicked stressful time at work which called for a much needed 1/2 day on Monday! I got home Monday and did not move from the couch until it was time for bed! I was beat!!!
This week my boyfriend is in Houston, TX for work and it has been kind of lonely in my quiet apartment! To fill the silence: movies! My nights have been dedicated to bunny snuggles and catching up on some much needed boob-tube time (as my grammy calls it)!
I have watched 3 movies this week:
1. Pitch Perfect 2
For my fellow Pitch Perfect fans out there… I totally thought that this one was better than the original!!! I was watching it (alone) and was laughing out loud throughout the whole thing!! Perfect. Good song choices and there was such a good amount of awkward hilarious moments! #PitchPerfectWasPerfect
2. Wild
So I actually didn't realize that this was based off of a book until I was 30 minutes into the movie!! Ahhh!! I am all about reading the book before watching the movie so this was a major oops on my part!
It was good. I wouldn't say great. But it was definitely good. The imagery was GORGEOUS and I want to now visit every location this movie was filmed at. Reese Witherspoon also did a really good job. Two thumbs up for her acting skills! Honestly I am not too sure what made it borderline good and eh for me- something about the copious amounts of negativity throughout the storyline was a turnoff... but nonfiction will do that to you! I strongly recommend this movie if you are having a "I am a strong independent women and can do anything" sort of day/mood! I would like to read the book now to see how it compares!
3. Trainwreck
This movie was the biggest surprise for me this week. First off I am not too familiar with Amy Schumer so I was not sure what style of humor it would be. Second off I was surprised that the movie had a decent storyline! Pitch Perfect 2 was full of all sorts of silliness whereas Trainwreck actually had a solid plot to it. I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely would watch it again!

All three of these movies I watched before going to bed and (as a rule) my pre-bed tv shows/movies need to be on the light side (though Wild definitely wasn't). I loved all of them and would recommend every single one! Pitch Perfect 2 for the silly mood, Wild for the serious adventurous mood and Trainwreck for the romantic comedy mood! XOXO WC
